Virginia Perata passed away on Sunday December 5, 2021 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia. Virginia was born to Joseph Rodini and Mary Marsala Rodini in El Cerrito, California. She graduated from El Cerrito High School in 1956. She went on to become a Legal Assistant. 

Virginia married Peter Perata of Oakland in 1957 and later moved to Walnut Creek. She was a stay at home mother who dedicated her life to raising her four children. Spending time with her family and friends was her greatest joy. She enjoyed many hobbies including sewing, quilting, cooking, playing bridge and bowling. She was a woman of many talents. 

 Virginia is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Peter Perata. She is also survived by her children Lynne Bradley (Glenn), Paul Perata, Ann  Chism, Mary Walden (Jerry); grandchildren Ryan Bradley, Paul Perata, Jr. , Olivia Perata, Patrick Clancy, Kristina Hancock (John), Joseph Wing (Fallon), Bryan Walden (Rachel), Shelly Neff (Jason); Great grandchildren Cora, Devon, Mason, Carson, Miranda, Ember, Cruz, Zoey and Ridge; brother Robert Rodini (Eleanor) and sister-in-law Joan Beutler. She was predeceased by her grandson Ross Bradley and brother-in-law Walter Beutler. A memorial will be held at a later date.  Please express condolences at oakparkhillschapel.com
