Thomas “Tom” James Xepoleas

Resident of Walnut Creek

Jan. 26, 1961 – Nov. 9, 2022

Our Tom passed on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at the age of 61. He touched many lives with his GIGANTC heart and kind soul. Tom had a smile that would light up any room!

Tom was born in Alameda, CA and lived his early years in Castro Valley. He graduated from Castro Valley High School in 1979.

He was an avid Bay Area sports fan of the San Francisco 49ers, Warriors, and Giants. He enjoyed playing golf, spending time with his Labrador Retrievers and, most of all, he relished the time he spent with his family and friends.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Holly; devoted children Amy Xepoleas of Castro Valley, Tyler Gallegos “Nina” of Sparks, NV, Joe Xepoleas of Santa Rosa, Gus Xepoleas and Grace Xepoleas, both of Walnut Creek and grandchildren Myles Marvin, Krue Gallegos and Tate Gallegos.

He is also survived by his brother John “Becky” Xepoleas of Pleasant Hill and sister Janet “David” Xepoleas-Zocchi of Danville, CA; and nephew Nicholas “Lacey” Xepoleas and nieces Sophie Xepoleas and Christina De Martini.

His generous loving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Friends and family will be invited to attend a Celebration of Life to be scheduled in January 2023. If friends and family wish to donate to The National Kidney Foundation in Tom’s honor, please go to
