Lore Barton, 89, joined our Heavenly Father on May 23, 2020.
She was born in Bamberg Germany November 18, 1930 to Alfred and Barbora Dotterweich. Her Father was a successful business man and her mother was a homemaker.
Lore moved to the USA to join her brother Fred in the early 1960’s, he had moved to the US a couple of years prior. She shortly met her soon to be husband, Darrell Porter Barton after living in the US for a couple of years. They were married in 1965 and had their daughter, Donna in 1967.
Lore retired from working at The County of Contra Costa, in Child Support Services in mid 90’s.
Her interests were family, her pets, attending weekly mass, and traveling to Santa Cruz, Lake Tahoe or Reno.
She was a very happy, positive person who always had a smile no matter how awful or sick she was feeling. She loved to talk and could hold a healthy conversation.
People found her so friendly, genuine and loved her German accent. She was always there to help anyone when they needed and never expected anything in exchange.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed greatly and forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Wilson and her only grandchild Alena Wilson. She has a large extended family as well.
To Those I Love
When I die, please don’t cry for me, for I am in a better place---
Just where I want to be….
No more sorrows….
No more pain….
Just sunshine, no more rain….
In the arms of my Heavenly Father, Lord and God!
