Kendra June Saitta

In loving memory of Kendra June Ward Saitta

Kendra June Ward Saitta was born June 26, 1973 in Orange, California. She was the daughter of Ken and Shiela Ward. Her mom passed away in 1995. She was also blessed to have her stepmom, Susan, who has since passed as well, in 2021. Kendra passed away at the age of 49 on March 5, 2023 at John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek, CA due to natural causes. She was a resident of Oakley, CA. Kendra was the oldest of her family with brothers, Rodney and Jonathan and sister, Ariel. She also has two stepsisters, Jessica and Courtney. She married her sweetheart Ian Saitta on October 31, 2009 and they were married for thirteen years. She has a beloved daughter, Elizabethe “Bethe” McFarlane. Kendra often was a safe refuge for other children needing a home and a loving mom. She helped raise many children who also called her mom. Those additional children she leaves behind are Melissa, Kenny, Adam, Zach and Cobee (grandson).  

Kendra attended school in her hometown of Orange, CA and graduated from Orange High School. She loved reading, doing crafts and was very gifted in knitting and crocheting. She loved her animals and they surrounded her constantly with companionship. She also loved the beach and collecting shells. She was humble, enjoyed humor and was grounded in her faith as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 1pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints church building on 1432 Laurel Rd. Oakley, CA. Those who wish to make monetary donations or send flowers can contact a family member. Arrangements for cremation have been made by the family.
