Geneva Rose Reinhard
Dec. 23, 1930- July 17, 2022
Long time resident of Pleasant Hill
"She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her." Proverbs 3:15
Geneva Rose Reinhard was a true joy to everyone who knew her and led her life in a way that was an inspiration to many. After 18 days on hospice surrounded by her two daughters, two of her granddaughters and two caregivers, she died very peacefully with her daughter, Judy Behr, and beloved longtime caregiver, Mary Kotoisuva, by her side on July 17, 2022 at the age of 91 due to complications of aspiration pneumonia and Parkinson's Disease.
She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to Bessie and Harold Reid on Dec. 23, 1930. She has 6 siblings who predeceased her and is survived by two sisters and one brother.
Geneva moved to California as a teenager and married the love of her life, Walter Lewis Reinhard shortly thereafter at the age of 18. They were in love ever since. Since 1959, they lived in their Pleasant Hill home which Walter built. Her loving husband predeceased her on August 22, 2006 after 57 beautiful years of marriage.
Geneva was a wonderful homemaker and mother who cared for her children and later her grandchildren. She is survived by her four children, Larry Reinhard, Mike Reinhard, Karen Long and Judy Behr. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
Geneva was a perfect example of a good woman, and lived her entire life taking care of her family.
Geneva enjoyed visiting with her family and friends especially over a nice meal, playing bingo and bocce ball and loving on babies and children.
Geneva will be missed immensely. She was such a happy person up until the end of her life. She led a wonderful yet simple life, and is now reunited with her lifelong love Walter in Heaven.
