Carol was born in Pleasant Grove, UT and graduated from Cyprus High School in Magna, UT.
Carol was married to Kelvin Robertson Brown on June 21, 1954; and they are the parents of 6 children. They moved from Salt Lake City, Utah in 1961 to San Francisco, California; in 1971 the family moved to Lafayette California which is where they resided upon her death. Carol went to beauty school where she received her license as a beautician and was also a licensed foster parent, with a specialty license for newborn children; as a result, she cared for many babies and children in addition to her own. Carol also sold Avon and Tupperware meeting new people and making friends. Carol loved to sew, knit, crochet and do crafts she always had a project or two going at the same time. She also worked with her husband in creating and expanding his tax and accounting business that kept both busy until she retired in 2013. Carol was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving in Primary for many years as well as in the Relief Society, although she did enjoy serving in Primary the most. She served as a missionary with Kelvin in Kirkland Ohio during the Spring and Summer of 2003 and 2004
Carol is survived by her husband of nearly 68-years, Kelvin as well as 5 of their children; Karol Miller, Suisun, California; Kelvin Brown, Jr. (Carol), Gresham, Oregon; Kenneth Brown (Debbie), Redding, California; Kathe Brown, Lafayette, California; and Kristina Ashoo, Clayton, California. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her siblings, Emma Lee Peterson, Darel Olsen (Barbara), Delila Jensen, Ruth Jones (Carl), Doniela Shoemaker (Ron), Georgia Lynn Bray (Michael).
Carol is preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Evalyn Olsen, her brother Stanley Lamont Olsen, her daughter Karen Sue Summers, and her sons-in-law, Gerald Miller and Larry Summers.
A memorial will be held via Zoom on June 25, 2022 at 2 pm pacific standard time
