Michele Lavecchia passed away last Friday after a valiant battle with cancer. Michele was a kind, fun and selfless soul who will be missed by many who have met him throughout the years.
Michele was born in Barletta, Italy and after University working as a Computer Programmer, his adventurous soul took him across the oceans to North America where he traveled through the US until he reached North Beach in San Francisco.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Michele went into the hospitality industry. Michele dedicated 37 years of his life to the hospitality industry in various roles and along the way has influenced so many people. Among many of his career achievements, in 2006 he received an award as Best Small Business in Contra Costa as owner of Restaurante Amoroma.
Michele was a dedicated husband and father who in his free time enjoyed traveling, art, music, nature and delicious food which he was responsible for cooking at home most of the time.
Michele is survived by his loving wife, Mariam and his beautiful children, Nicole, Madison and Francesco.
Please join is for a celebration of life on Saturday September 28, 2019 from noon to 3pm at Tennessee Valley Road in Mill Valley—at the end of the trail at the beach.
