Jeffrey Charles Jones
Resident of Concord
Jeff Jones passed away April 4th, 2019 after a longtime battle with many physical and mental health issues. He was a great man who touched many people’s lives with his overly positive look on life.
Jeff was born December 23rd, 1958, and grew up in Concord. He was a proud Boy Scout, drummer, bass player, and guitar player. He loved cars, camping, fishing, and hunting. He and his mother participated in Polynesian Dancing, where he learned traditional pacific island dancing with knives, when lit on fire! Also, he was a great artist. He graduated from Mt. Diablo High School in 1977 and attended Diablo Valley College.
Jeff had many different jobs over the course of his life, but his true calling was the food industry. He loved preparing food for people and having them enjoy the fruits of his labor. Specifically, BBQ, as many of you had the blessing to devour a slab of his smoked baby back ribs.
He recently was overjoyed about his new faith and was baptized into the Mormon church!
Jeff is survived by his son and daughter in law Adam and Sheana; His daughter Elizabeth and son in law Mike, and his granddaughter Isla. Also, his kitten Chow M.
The Celebration of his life will take place on April 20th, 2019 at 10:00 AM , at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1590 Denkinger Rd., Concord, CA.
