Erika Henderson Morse
Born Dec 29, 1980
Received her angel wings Sept. 24, 2019.
Born and raised in Oakland Ca, by her loving mother and grandparents. Due to the love and support of her wonderful family she became the smart, loving, caring, phenomenal woman she was today. Her fondest childhood memory includes going to Hawaii as a child, she often mentioned how she would love to move to Hawaii one day. She attended Holy Names High School, and went on to attend college at Santa Clara University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business.
After college she lived in Santa Cruz where she eventually met her husband, and married in September of 2008. In October 2012 they welcomed their son Wyatt Christopher Kal-El Morse into the world. He would become her whole world, as she was finally a mother something that she had dreamed and wanted to be for a very long time.
Erika was a warm, kind, smart, generous, and very tech savvy person. She was always willing to help a friend in need, and often welcomed people into her home and family. Oh the Thankgiving dinners each year! she would bring in any friend that didn't have anywhere to go and welcome them into her home for Thanksgiving. Those of us that had the privilege to attend said dinners remember her sweet loving grandma who would cook a full Thanksgiving meal with all the fixings for everyone to enjoy and would always encourage you take some home with you. The warmth, the love that you felt from her and her family made it truly a privilege to be a part of.
She was a diehard Disney fan, loved to scrapbook, and was a foodie at heart. Some of her favorite places to eat included Zacharys Pizza, Barney's, Fenton's creamery, La Note, Phil's Fish Market, & Trabocco to name a few. She loved R&B love songs, and was a die hard John B. fan.
She is survived by her mother Allie Henderson, her husband Dennis Raymond Morse, and her son Wyatt Christopher Kal-El Morse.
Visitation will be at Oak Park Hills Chapel on Wednesday, Oct 2nd, from 5pm-7pm, and the funeral service on Thursday, Oct 3rd from 10am-1pm.
