Dolores “Dolly” Kennard, 80, joined our Lord and creator on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at John Muir Hospital in Concord, CA. Dolly was born in Lingayen Pangasinan, Philippines to Toribia and Cipriano De Guzman on November 27, 1937.
Dolly who lived a full and accomplished life is known for being a strong-willed, friendly person who possessed a contagious sweet smile, a bubbly and fun-loving nature. She prides herself for single-handedly raising her three children successfully. Yvonne, Wyeth, and Jocip fondly remember their mother as an outstanding provider who took on the role as both their mother and father. To them, she was their teacher and mentor, their confidant, their team leader, and their friend. She strictly instituted her high standards of moral and ethical values in their everyday personal and professional conduct which was formed from her solid Catholic Christian foundation.
She is survived by her growing family that includes:
Her eldest daughter Yvonne with husband Tom Woodland and their three daughters: Kristina, Charlie, and Dominique.
Her middle daughter Wyeth with husband Emilio De Asis and their children: Curt, Asia, and Mia.
Her youngest son Jocip with wife Leah Sarmiento and their children: Mikki, Chile, Blade, and Joey.
A Memorial Service was held at Oak Park Hills Chapel, 3111 N. Main St. Walnut Creek, CA 94596, on Saturday, September 15, 2018, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, with Blessing and Benediction led by Deacon John Mazibrook of Saint Francis Catholic Church of Concord.
