Myrna Nelson Robertson passed away at home in Antioch, California on April 9, 2017, surrounded by family.

 

Myrna was born on October 19, 1930, in Weston, ID, and graduated from West Side High School there. She attended nursing school in Logan, UT, and graduated from Utah State University. She served an LDS mission in the Central America Mission. In 1962, she married Hayward S. “Stew” Robertson in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They raised their family first in Pleasant Hill, California, and later in Lodi, California. Before and after raising her children, Myrna worked as a registered nurse, first in surgical nursing and later in skilled nursing facilities. She was dedicated to her church work as well, serving as Relief Society President twice, as well as being ward organist for many years. She was a great example to her family and all those around her.

 

Myrna is survived by her devoted husband, Hayward Stewart Robertson; her loving children Rebecca Cranmer (Tom) of Antioch, CA, Jennifer Robertson of Kent, WA, Douglas Robertson (Serena) of North Bend, WA, and Randall Robertson (Stephanie) of Vacaville, CA; and by ten beloved grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Joyce Nelson Bingham (Carl) of Weston, Idaho and Vynette Nelson Burnett (Alva) of Dayton, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Edna Nelson, and her brother, Scott Nelson.

 

The funeral service will take place on Friday, April 14th at 11:00am at the LDS Church at 2350 Jeffrey Way in Brentwood, CA, with visitation beginning one hour prior. The burial service will be Monday, April 17th at 11:00am at Weston City Cemetery in Weston, Idaho.
