Jane A Fuentes, 90 passed away Wednesday at the Bruns House in Alamo, following a brief and unexpected illness.        

Jane was born in Providence, Rhode Island and moved to San Francisco, where she graduated from Mission High School. After graduation Jane went to work full time at the Telephone Company.  Jane married Frank Michael Fuentes in 1949.  She continued to work for the Telephone Company till the birth of their first child Frank Michael Jr.

Jane was very active in her children’s lives; she served as Den Mother and Girl Scout Leader. As her children grew, she became more active in the community.

Jane was very active in her church Christ the King where she did Communal out Reach, Pastoral Care, and made Rosary Beads to sell for the Missions. Jane was also very active in her community where she either served or volunteered, but her proudest moment was when she was voted Citizen of the Year 2002.

Jane is preceded in death by her loving husband Frank M. Fuentes Sr. her mother Amelia Rouleau and her sister Antoinette Thomas.

Jane is survived by her children; Frank (Rebecca) Martinez, Gene (Lori) Vallejo, Mary Jane (Debbie) El Cajon, Theresa, Clear Lake and Paul (Kim) Oakley; 7 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Visitation/Vigil will be from 7pm to 9pm on Wednesday March 29th at Oak Park Hills Chapel 3111 N. Main St. Walnut Creek. Graveside service will be held on Thursday March 30th at 10:45 am, at Queen of Heaven Cemetery 1965 Reliez Valley Rd, Lafayette
